We have a two year old!

*Warning, this post is extremely picture heavy* Elias turned two in April! It's hard to for me comprehend that I've been a mom for two years, much less that Elias could possibly be that old already. We started the birthday festivities at the end of March with a cake at Grandma & Grandpa Metzger's house.

Peter was in Ecuador over his actual birthday, so we drove to Leo and celebrated with my family. But first we had a special birthday breakfast at home complete with candles, which Elias thought was pretty awesome!

Elias thought this ice cream cake was pretty awesome. The yellow frosting was his favorite part.

When we got home, there was a present from Grandma Diane waiting in the mail!

Happy that the ribbon is off. A two year old's life is complicated.

And finally, almost two weeks after his actual birthday, we celebrated at home with daddy.

We were over wrapping paper by this point, so his present from us came in a fancy brown grocery bag.
