Painting with celery
When I buy celery, I like to prep the entire bunch so it's easy to grab a few celery sticks at a moments notice without needing to get a knife and cutting board out every time. I cut each stalk into snack size pieces, put them all in a covered container with water, and put them in the refrigerator for easy snacking. The last time I did this, I decided to let Elias paint with the end of the bunch instead of throwing it into the compost bin.
He experimented with stamping for a while, then used the celery as a paintbrush to smear the paint across the paper. When he tired of painting, he had fun pulling all of the short pieces of celery off of the base.
