Aunt Mary's Pizza

Peter's Aunt Mary has an awesome pizza crust recipe that we like to use. Ingredients: Heaping T yeast (1 pkg) 1/2 c warm water 1/2 c milk 2 T butter 1 T sugar 2 c flour 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp baking soda

Directions: Place pizza stone in oven. Preheat to 400º.

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. In a separate dish, heat the butter until melted; add the milk and heat until warm. After the milk has cooled a bit, add the yeast/water mixture.

In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Add the liquid and stir until mixed.

Grease a pizza stone or pan. Sprinkle some cornmeal on the stone if desired. Spread the dough on the stone until desired thickness and size are reached.

Cook for 5 minutes at 400º.

Add pizza sauce and desired toppings. Cook for an additional 12-13 minutes at 425º. When pizza is almost done, turn the oven to broil for 2-4 minutes to brown the cheese.

This is one that Peter made the other night (he's the better pizza chef of the two of us). The toppings were chicken (with a little bbq sauce), bacon, sausage, and cheese.
